Occupational Trainees:

Occupational traineeships provide students from overseas institutions with practical experience linked with the training received in their home institution. Most occupational trainees visit for periods of four months to one year.  For information on current projects that are being offered by different laboratories in the UQDI, please refer to Research Projects page. To express your interest, please contact the appropriate Research Leader directly, advising of your interest, providing your CV, stating your availability, and outlining any funding you have for the intended period.

Please note: Immigration requirements must be met to be eligible for an Occupational Trainee offer. Occupational Trainee visas can take up to 6 months or more to finalise so please plan your visit with this in mind. Incoming students must pay the visa costs.
